Pipeline Safety Audit Training | Sep 22 – 24, 2026

Shreyas Rajashekhara · June 15, 2026

This immersive, hands-on workshop is uniquely designed for pipeline professionals who are responsible for the safe operation of hazardous liquids or natural gas pipelines. It’s ideal for health and safety professionals, integrity management teams, regulatory compliance specialists, corrosion engineers, operations and maintenance staff, environmental specialists, and senior leadership.

What sets this training apart is its dual focus: technical expertise and essential soft skills. Participants gain not only a deep understanding of pipeline safety regulations and audit preparedness but also the communication skills critical to navigating high-pressure situations with confidence and professionalism.

Why this workshop stands out

  • One of a kind in the industry: Combines regulatory, technical, and soft-skill development in a single comprehensive program.
  • Interactive and engaging: Practical exercises, open discussion, and group-based learning designed for maximum participation.

What you will learn

Participants will gain essential knowledge and real-world strategies to successfully manage pipeline safety audits, especially when interacting with Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) auditors. The course covers both hazardous liquid and gas pipelines, emphasizing:

  • Pipeline Integrity Management
  • High Consequence Areas (HCAs)
  • Risk Analysis & Integrity Assessments
  • Preventive and Mitigative Measures
  • Program Evaluations & Continuous Improvement
  • PHMSA Audit Procedures
  • Verbal and Non-Verbal Communication Techniques

Mock interview exercise: Simulate the real thing

One of the most impactful features of this workshop is the mock face-to-face interview simulation, modeled after a post-incident PHMSA investigation. Participants sit in front of a camera, responding to live questions under pressure—just like in a real audit scenario. This exercise is designed to sharpen both verbal and non-verbal communication skills, helping participants project confidence, clarity, and credibility. Interview recordings are available upon request for self-review. At the end of the session, each participant will receive feedback that offers valuable insight into strengths and areas for improvement.
